Voided Check

What a voided business check is, why the SBA needs it, and how to upload one in 60 seconds—no checkbook required.

WHY

The bank needs your business’s checking account info so they know where to send the funds once your loan is approved.

A voided check confirms the account and routing number—this helps prevent delays or wiring mistakes at closing.

WHAT

A voided check is just a blank business check with the word “VOID” written across it.

It must be:

  • From your business checking account (not personal)

  • Clearly show your business name, account number, and routing number

  • Preferably from the same account you use for day-to-day operations

HOW

  • Snap a photo or scan a blank business check and write “VOID” across it in large letters.

  • No checkbook? Ask your bank for a direct deposit form or starter check with your business info.

  • Upload the image as a PDF or clear photo (JPG or PNG is fine too).

📣 Pro Tips:

  • Make sure the check isn’t blurry—banks will reject it if they can’t read the numbers.

  • If your business name isn’t printed on the check, you may need to include a bank letter confirming the account is in your company’s name.

  • The account must match the business listed on your loan application.

FAQ – Voided Business Check

Q: Can I use a personal check?
A: No. It must be from your business account to match the SBA loan.

Q: What if I don’t have physical checks?
A: Most online banks let you download a direct deposit or account verification form that works just as well.

Q: What if I use multiple business accounts?
A: Use the one where you want the loan funds deposited—it should match your main operating account.
